Keitaro Tenshi, from the RP I'm in called Lost Mentality. I attempted to draw his eyes in a non-anime fashion to try and make him look more asian. I guess it turned out well. The background was one I found on the new, then manipulated a bit. Kudos to whoever made that picture.

I'm not sure it was the background that Bondage-Whore meant. Due to the title of the piece, the background doesn't have to be detailed as an undetailed backround could have a lot of symbolic meaning. However, since the character is the focus and very detailed, the shadows that he casts should have more depth. On the parts of the stairs that his shadow touches, the dark on dark should be darker than the dark on light. This will make the piece look more finished and add more depth to the character. Now you mentioned that you wanted his eyes to look Asian. Erasing the eyelids would help with that as Asians have extra skin that makes their eyes look narrower.
